Weight Loss Program

Weight Loss Therapy Available in Cheyenne, Way

Here at Northview Medical we focus on prioritizing your overall health and wellness which in turn helps with your spinal health. Rather than focusing on minimizing your size, our providers focus to help you achieve long term results that restore or improve your health for years to come.

Being overweight can lead to more stress on the joints and a less efficient cardiovascular system, along with lots of other medical conditions.

There are lots of diets and plans out there that can help you lose weight, but once our bodies get use to such plans or we stop the plan completely we start to gain weight right back.  When it comes to exercise, at times, even our bodies can’t handle exercise like it use to with the extra weight or simply just from aging.

Our providers help you using prescription weight loss medications. Most patient’s use this for a minimum of 4 months or until they hit their weight loss goal, then are placed on a maintenance plan for continued help. The medication used in our clinic is safe to take until you hit your goal.

Q&A

  • What is weight loss?

Weight loss is a decrease in body weight resulting from either voluntary (diet, exercise) or involuntary (illness) circumstances. Most instances of weight loss arise due to the loss of body fat.

  • How does our weight loss plan work?

Our providers start by chatting with you, evaluating your currently lifestyle, medications, and even sometimes diet. This is followed by vitals, waist circumference, and your initial weight. With all of this information, if you qualify, you are then put on a plan for a minimum of 4 months to help you achieve your goals.

  • What is a prescription weight loss drug?

Although drugs vary and all carry their own risks, prescription weight loss medications may assist you. They work by suppressing or reducing your appetite and improving glycemic control. This can assist when you are making a lifestyle change.

  • Are there side effects with prescription weight loss drugs?

Yes, with any medication you take there are side effects. With everyone being different it is hard to tell which side effects could affect you. Most common are nausea, constipation, or headaches. These symptoms typically resolve after a few days, your body just needs time to adjust. Please see our providers for more information.

  • Benefits of weight loss?

There are many long-term benefits of weight loss, both physical and mental. Things like fatigue, energy levels, and inflammation can be improved with weight loss. Long-term issues like high blood pressure, sleep apnea, heart disease, diabetes, and chronic pain can also see improvement with our weight loss plan. See our providers for more information on what else this program can help you with.
